❓ Frequently Asked Questions

How do I calculate my total work hours?

Enter your start and end time for each day, plus any unpaid break in minutes. The calculator works out each day's hours and adds them into a weekly total, shown both as hours:minutes and as decimal hours (useful for payroll).

Does it handle overnight shifts?

Yes. If your end time is earlier than your start time (e.g. start 22:00, end 06:00), the calculator automatically treats it as an overnight shift and counts the hours correctly across midnight.

What are decimal hours?

Decimal hours express time as a decimal instead of hours and minutes — for example 7 hours 30 minutes = 7.5 decimal hours. Payroll systems usually multiply decimal hours by your hourly rate, which is why we show both formats.

Is my timesheet data saved?

No — everything runs in your browser and nothing is saved or sent anywhere. Use the Copy Summary button to save your totals before closing the page.
