The World Clock shows live current time for New York (Eastern Time โ UTCโ5 in winter, UTCโ4 in summer during EDT). The display updates every second and automatically adjusts for daylight saving time.
There are 24 standard time zones based on 15ยฐ longitude segments, but in practice over 38 distinct offsets are used when half-hour and quarter-hour offsets are included (e.g. India is UTC+5:30, Nepal is UTC+5:45). The World Clock covers the major populated time zones.
Find both cities on the World Clock โ the displayed times let you instantly compare. For example, if it's 3pm in London (UTC+0) it's 8am in New York (UTCโ5) and 11pm in Tokyo (UTC+9).
UTC (Coordinated Universal Time) is the global time standard used as the reference point for all time zones. GMT (Greenwich Mean Time) is the time zone of the UK in winter. They are functionally equivalent โ the UK switches to BST (UTC+1) in summer.
Click the Fullscreen button on any city card to open a large-display clock. Use the theme dropdown to choose from 20 themes, toggle dark/light mode, and optionally show your IP address, GPS coordinates, and location in the footer bar.
